CENTRAL NORTHERN CLAIM BRADMAN CUP

Central Northern has made a strong start to the Under 16s Bradman Cup cricket final, reducing Southern ACT to two for 29, after 10 overs.

The batting side struck back, with a 109-run partnership for the third wicket.

Moree fast bowler Paddy Montgomery got his side back in the match though, claiming three scalps, as Central Northern restricted its opponents to 227 runs.

A total they passed in the 44th over to claim the title.

The triumph also saw the zone take out the Hogg-Silver Zone Championship, awarded to the best performing region across five different age groups.
