FESTIVAL EXPECTED TO BRING IN MORE THAN $50 MILLION

The Tamworth Country Music Festival is the city’s biggest income earner and this year it’s expected to bring in more than $50-million to the local economy.
Businesses relish this time of year, as it’s a chance to showcase what they’ve got to offer to customers from all over the world.
“Which then goes about sort of feeding a lot of other activities for the rest of the year and most of the retailers and traders in town really look forward to this because it becomes a second Christmas.”
Hotels and clubs will be open later than usual as well, with Sunday night curfews extended to midnight for the duration of the festival.
