GOONELLABAH MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING ALLEGED KNIFE ATTACK IN COFFS HARBOUR

Police and paramedics were called to a resort in Coffs Harbour this morning, after a woman was allegedly slashed with a knife.

Shortly after midnight, police responded to reports a woman had been injured during an argument at a resort on the Pacific Highway.

They found a 31-year-old woman with a deep laceration to her right forearm.

She was taken to the Coffs Harbour Health Campus where she underwent surgery.

A short time later, a 27-year-old man from Goonellabah near Lismore was arrested.

He was later charged with reckless wounding.

He’ll appear in Coffs Harbour Bail Court tomorrow.
