Urunga’s cross country runner, Karlie Swanson, has secured a lucrative scholarship to study and train in the USA.
The 18-year-old, who won the World Schools Cross Country Titles in Israel in 2014, will attend Boise State University in Idaho from August.
The teenager also represented Australia at the junior world titles in China last year, and is currently in training for the 20-16 titles which will be held in Poland in July.
The US scholarship, worth an estimated $400,000, will cover all of her accomodation, study and living costs for the next four years.
