WOMAN ESCAPES CHOKING ATTEMPT ON THE CENTRAL COAST
A 41-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly choked a woman at Koolewong, near Gosford yesterday.
Police say the man and a 49-year-old woman became involved in an altercation at a home in Glenrock Parade on Friday night.
It’s alleged he then put the woman in a chokehold, which caused her to cough up blood.
The woman convinced him to let her go, after which she a contacted a relative who took her to Gosford Hospital.
The man later presented himself to police, where he was charged with intentionally choking a person with recklessness.
He appeared before Wyong Local Court today, and will be remanded in custody to appear at Gosford Local Court on January 18.
