Port Macquarie Base Hospital welcomed 10 new members to its workforce today.
The medical graduates will complete year-long internships at the hospital, before training as residents in their second year.
“This is a fantastic hospital, state of the art,” Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams said.
“But importantly, there’s a great support network and team focus here – so they’re going to have fantastic opportunities with a whole range of specialists.”
New South Wales has a record 983 medical intern placements this year, which includes 19 Aboriginal graduates.
