Newcastle Jets have suffered a defeat by Perth Glory on Sunday, falling 6-1.
The crowd watched at the Jets dominated the early stages of the game, with a headed goal from striker Milos Trifunović.
Newcastle’s dissappointment was compounded when captain Nigel Boogaard was dismissed by referee Shaun Evans in the 45th minute.
After halftime, Perth managed to find the back of the net four times against Newcastle, taking lead.
The Jets will travel to Adelaide for the Hyundai A-League round 17 next Sunday.
