MORE WHOOPING COUGH VACCINE COMING FOR BELLINGEN

The state government says more batches of whooping cough vaccine will be available at pharmacies within a couple of months.

It follows claims a state wide outbreak of the disease has stripped supply in the Bellingen area.

A New South Wales Health spokesperson says more stocks of the vaccine are on the way for people who want to be immunised.

The government’s assured there’s NO shortage of the free vaccine for people most at risk, such as pregnant women and infants.
