NEW PRIVATE PRIMARY SCHOOL OPENS IN MACKSVILLE

It wasn’t just back to school for a big group of Macksville children today – it was day one at a brand new school.

St Patrick’s opened its doors for the first time.

The $12.5 million state-of-the-art catholic primary school features classrooms for nearly 400 students.

“I don’t know who was more excited, the staff, parents or the students, so it was quite a special day for our school,” said Principal Vin Butler.

In keeping with its name, the new school will be officially opened on St Patrick’s Day in March.
