Former Central Coast Mariners championship winner, Alex Wilkinson, has signed with Melbourne City for the rest of the A-League season.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a return to the competition for months, since leaving South Korea’s K-League title-winning outfit, Jeonbuk Motors, late last year.
Wilkinson made 172 appearances for the Mariners and captained the team for five seasons before making the move to Jeonbuk in 2012.
He’s the fifth player to be signed to Melbourne City during the transfer window this year.
