An elderly resident of a waterfront property at Lake Macquarie got the fright of her life this morning when it partially collapsed.
It’s thought a pylon beneath Pelican Marina collapsed leaving it teetering on the edge of the water.
Engineers are on the site assessing the damage while emergency services have cordoned the area off.
Several people live in the two story building owned by Crown Lands while a restaurant operates on the ground floor.
