Police have found a body near Walcha and believe it is that of a missing Mid North Coast man.
45-year-old John Shaw was last seen on Christmas Day, when he had lunch with his family at Taree.
A white Mitsubishi utility, believed to have been driven by Mr Shaw, was discovered on its roof off the Oxley Highway the next day.
His clothes were later found 25-kilometres west of the car along Myrtle Scrub Road.
The body was found at around midday yesterday in water at Yarrowitch.
Specialist officers will retrieve the body today, before it will be formally identified.
