Ladder leaders Cudgen have narrowly avoided losing to the Ballina Bears in round 12 of the Far North Coast Cricket Competiton.
The Bears went tantalising close to toppling the competition leaders – but Cudgen held on.
Elsewhere Lennox Head downed Alstonville, while Pottsville defeated Marist Brothers Lismore.
