SHORTLAND MP SAYS COMPLAINTS SOAR ABOUT NBN ROLLOUT
Shortland MP Jill Hall has slammed the Turnbull Government for delivering what she’s described as a “second-rate” National Broadband Network.
Ms Hall says the number of complaints to her electorate office has skyrocketed since the rollout late last year.
“It’s not one provider it’s all providers because the NBN is not delivering,” she said.
Mel Buxton from Meals on Wheels Belmont says she was left without a phone connection for up to 12 days, when switching over to the NBN.
“It wasn’t only that out clients couldn’t contact us to say they were in hospital or a new client was coming out of hospital and needed meals, but I couldn’t contact any of my suppliers.”
The NBN Co says many of the reported issues are likely to be addressed by some retailers switching on increased capacity to meet demand.
