Bellingen has claimed victory over Coffs Harbour in round one of the Coffs Coast 9’s this afternoon, with two of arguably the strongest teams in Group Two facing off at Geoff King Oval.
From the get go it was looking like anyone’s game with both teams chalking up points in the first half, with Coffs ahead by three before the break.
Coming back from the sheds, Bello made a return, breaking through the home side’s defence, to bring the score to 12 all.
But in the final seconds, Bellingen’s Luke Beaumont tore up the field to claim the 16-12 win.
