RALLY AGAINST PROPOSED FEDERAL HEALTH CUTS
Newcastle residents filled the steps of city hall this afternoon, rallying against proposed health cuts.
The federal government has plans to slash $650-million over four years to bulk billing incentives used in pathology and diagnostic testing.
The rally in Newcastle was one of several held across the country today.
“I hope they see how much Australia does care about this and we’re not just going to sit back and let these things happen,” said organiser Jacinta Mortell.
