In the boy’s final, North Stradbroke Island product Ethan Ewing proved he’s also a star in the making, beating America’s Griffin Colapinto.

Ewing scored an incredible perfect 10 late in the decider to win by almost six points.

It’s Ewing’s third victory this year, having taken out the QS 1000 Burleigh Pro and the Avoca Pro Junior.
