HUNTER VALLEY VIGNERONS CONFIDENT OF SUCCESSFUL VINTAGE
It was threatened by torrential rain in January, but the Hunter Valley Wine Association is now confident this year’s vintage will be a success.
“With all that rain in January, there was a lot of concern. We had some hail and there was disease pressure around and some disease as well, but everything dried out. So it all worked out pretty well.”
With the harvest now wrapped up, Andrew Margan believes the 20-16 crop will produce a high-quality red, that’s strong in flavour.
