HERITAGE FESTIVAL FOR TAMWORTH

Tamworth is set to play host to a new festival with a focus on delving into the past.

The inaugural heritage festival will kick off April 16 and run over a fortnight, highlighting the region’s history.

“Tamworth and the region is really rich in cultural history, social history and built history, and the award and festival just one way of celebrating this,” Tamworth Regional Councillor Juanita Wilson said.

This year’s theme is ‘Discovery and Rediscoveries’ and will also recognise those committed to sustaining local heritage.
