SPECIAL FUND SET UP FOR POLICE OFFICER KILLED IN ACTION

A special fund has been set up to support the family of a Port Stephens policeman, killed while on duty on the weekend.

Sergeant Geoffrey Richardson died when the squad car he was driving crashed while on his way to assist colleagues at a pursuit in the Hunter Valley.

The NSW Police Association and NSW Legacy have set up an online fund to raise money and support Sgt Richardson’s wife, Senior Constable Margaret King, and their young sons.
