Tamworth’s PCYC is set to create a ‘social hub’ and offer customer service training thanks to more than $8,500 in federal government funding received this week.
The organisation hopes to purchase a coffee machine so youths can be taught basic customer service and barista skills, to make them more employable when looking for their first job.
“It’s so important because without that start you don’t get the next job, without that start you don’t get that discipline that you can get from a boss, moreso sometimes than your parents.”
