After a week of startling revelations in the ICAC, the Member for Charlestown Andrew Cornwell has called time on his short political career.
Mr Cornwell has resigned from the Liberal Party and won’t recontest the next election.
It all comes after revelations this week in the ICAC that he took more than $20,000 from developers in the lead-up to the 20-11 election.
