GRADUAL TRANSITION TO NEW WATER TRIGGERS

In a bid to ease residents into new water conservation measures, following the $50 million safety upgrade of Chaffey Dam, new trigger points for restrictions will be gradually introduced.
Council had hoped the dam’s level would’ve risen by now, but there hasn’t been enough rain.
It’s predicting the city will be moved to level two restrictions within the next couple of weeks.
Under the transition, level three will be triggered when the dam reduces to 37.5 per cent, while level four will be implemented when it reaches 35.
