PAIR FLEES WITH CASH AFTER CESSNOCK BUTCHER ROBBERY

The owner of a Cessnock butcher’s shop has been threatened during an early morning robbery.
Around 4:45am, two male intruders entered the shop on Maitland Road. They had their faces covered and demanded cash from the 58-year-old owner.
The pair took money from the register and fled on foot.
The first man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 173cm tall, with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a beanie.
The second man is also described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 188cm tall, with a solid build and short hair. He was wearing a blue chequered flannelette shirt, shorts and joggers.
