It’s been confirmed that Taree Local Court will have a new home by Christmas.
The $5-million project, which began in January, will house a state of the art local courtroom, as well as a new registry office.
The two-storey building will also include five interview rooms, a remote witness suite for victims of sexual assault and video conferencing technology.
Following its completion, the District Court will also receive a makeover.
That’s expected to be finished by March next year, with the first sittings scheduled for May.
