NEW ERA FOR OLD JET FIGHTER

It was known to many travellers on the old Pacific Highway as the Raymond Terrace jet, but after more than 30 years perched on a pole on the approach to town, an old RAAF Sabre aircraft had fallen into disrepair.
Now after a three year restoration, the Sabre, is again turning heads at Williamtown’s Fighter World.
Council, local Lions and volunteers are behind the project to ensure the jet, painted in its original squadron colours, remains on public display.
