The Hunter’s Toby Price has finished inside the top three, on the opening stage of the Sealine Cross Country Rally in the Middle East.
Unlike other long distance events, every rider started the Qatari race at the same time.
But Price was quickly locked in a battle with Britain’s Sam Sunderland and Chile’s Pablo Quintanilla.
The Australian held the lead for a short time, but eventually settled for third.
