Snapper Point Headland south of Newcastle remains blocked off, as homicide detectives continue to investigate the death of a woman whose body was found in the water three days ago.
Her death is being treated as suspicious, with an autopsy being carried out today.
The woman was found naked with stab wounds on Sunday morning.
She’s described as being of Asian appearance and between 20 and 35 years of age.
Police would like to speak to anyone who visited the Munmorah State Conservation Area in recent days, or anyone concerned about someone matching her description.
