COUNCIL ADOPTS BOOMERANG PARK PLAN
Port Stephens Council has adopted a controversial management plan for Boomerang Park, paving the way for a number of projects, including a $50,000 fitness trail.
The plan for the Raymond Terrace park has been welcomed by the local Men’s Shed group, which intends to build a new centre at the site.
But residents belonging to the Boomerang Action Group fear further development will follow, and claim the plan is a desecration of the park which will set a precedent.
