STEPPING UP TO GREATER RESPONSIBILITES

State member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has been promoted to the role of Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier, and Regional Roads and Rail.
It follows the resignation of Orange MP, Andrew Gee, who’s focusing on his federal campaign
“With the Deputy Premier, he has the portfolios for police, justice, arts, gaming and racing, so whenever he needs assistance for any of those areas then I’ll be stepping in,” Mr Anderson said.
Mr Anderson’s hoping the new role will help push local projects forward, such as Tamworth’s bid to become the next intermodal freight terminal, as well as achieving a daily return passenger service to Sydney.
“I had a meeting with the Ministers during the week and Transport for New South Wales and New South Wales TrainLink, we need to provide a better service, we need to be able to provide a service people will use.”
