WEATHER: GOOD RAIN FOR THE NORTH WEST

A lovely rain band has swept across the North West today, with the better falls coming down where they are needed most.

The system will clear tomorrow for a return to mostly sunny days, but there is a catch. The winds will get stronger and colder, as an east coast low forms over the weekend.

This will also return the big swell to the NSW coast.

With the wintry weather arriving on cue, winter rain is likely to follow with another good widespread burst of rain expected during the first week of the new season.
