12 VENUES NAMED ON STATE’S MOST VIOLENT LIST
Six pubs and clubs have been added to the state’s list of violent venues, while eight others have been removed.
Among the latest additions, The Beaumont Exchange Hotel at Hamilton and Lismore’s Jacks Bar.
Venues on the list have to adhere to strict licensing restrictions, including no alcohol service 30 minutes before closure, no glass after midnight and alcohol time-outs.
Deputy Premier Troy Grant says it’s pleasing to see there’s been a 10 per cent drop in the number of alcohol-related incidents at listed venues, with 180 recorded compared to 200 in December.
“Most licensed venues are getting the message that it just doesn’t add up to run an unsafe pub, club or bar, but I’m concerned that there are still some fresh additions to our list that clearly aren’t heeding the message,” he said.
The Plantation Hotel at Coffs Harbour and the Central Coast’s Beachcomber Resort have also been named on the list, which can be viewed HERE.
