The first weekend of winter is going to be a wild one.
Two big weather systems are going to collide, triggering the formation of an intense East Coast Low.
There are huge amounts of moisture built up over the region and as an upper level cold pool joins forces with a moisture laden coastal trough, an east coast low will form and this will unleash its energy across the broadcast region during Saturday and Sunday morning.
Huge dangerous seas and swell will form. Flash flooding and river flooding is likely, with powerful gale force winds.
Once the centre of the low passes to the south, conditions will ease and the winds will swing to the west.
This is a serious short lived storm, so take care.
