HUSBAND OF MISSING GOLD COAST WOMAN CHARGED WITH MURDER

The husband of missing Queensland woman Novy Chardon has been formally charged with her murder.

68-year-old John William Chardon was taken to the Brisbane watch house.

Ms Chardon, a 34-year-old mother-of-two who was born in Indonesia, has been missing since February 6, 2013.

She was last seen on CCTV paying for fuel at an Upper Coomera service station.

Her car was discovered abandoned near Nerang train station five days later.

In January 2015, police raided a Gold Coast property in search for Ms Chardon’s body.

The year before, Queensland Police had offered a reward of about $250,000 for information into her disappearance.
