COUNTRY EAGLES CHOOSE TAMWORTH OVER THE HUNTER

NHRU General Manager Andy Fairful says he’s disappointed there won’t be a National Rugby Championship match played in Newcastle this year.
The Country Eagles have decided to take matches to Tamworth and Orange instead.
Last year, they played Queensland Country at Number Two Sportsground in horrendous conditions.
The match attracted close to a thousand spectators despite the weather, which was the competition’s largest crowd for a Thursday night fixture last year.
