A controversial third place in the semi final has denied Belmont’s Jason Doyle a shot at back-to-back Speedway Grand Prix wins.
The Australian posted three heat victories in Wales and a track record, before he struck trouble.
Doyle didn’t get away well from the restart and he missed out on a place in the decider.
He still earned enough points to move to third overall in the championship standings.
