The University of New England has lost its third executive this year, with Chancellor John Watkins tendering his resignation this morning.
After just 18 months on the UNE Council, Watkins decided he can no longer devote the time required to the job.
In a statement he says he only intended to remain in the role temporarily, and with the University stronger than ever, felt it was time to step aside.
