The Hunter’s Mark Pickering and Dave Boddy have successfully traversed more than 14,000 kilometres across Europe, to claim a prestigious Peking to Paris title.
The pair, who have been friends for 40 years, claimed the win in the classic section of the event in their 1973 Datsun on Sunday, after starting the mammoth drive last month.
Starting on June 12 at the Great Wall of China, the men drove through Mongolia, Russia, Poland, Hungary and Italy before rolling to victory in Paris.
The navigator and driver also had to squeeze all of their equipment, including tents, tools and food into the car, with no support crews allowed.
