NEW NET SET TO OPEN DOORS
The Coffs Harbour Baseball Association is confident its new $10,000 net will help it become a regional finals option, aiming to host their first one in years in October.
President Bill Langley says it wouldn’t have been possible to have it ready for play on Saturday, without the help of local businesses and organisations.
“We’ve had some excellent help from Council, particularly Sue… From sports unit and Russell Fencing, who’s the head groundskeeper here, have been just wonderful and a great asset to us in terms of getting those project over the line.”
The structure, funded by the state government isn’t quite finished yet, with some soft mesh still to be installed.
