MADDISON ELLIOTT NAMED ON AUSSIE PARALYMPIC SWIM TEAM

36 athletes from around Australia, including Port Macquarie’s Paige Leonhardt, have been named on our Paralympic Swimming Team for Rio, with 22 making their games debut.
Several athletes, including the Hunter’s Maddison Elliott and Kingscliff’s Kate Wilson couldn’t attend today’s launch because of HSC commitments.
Elliott will have a packed schedule in Rio, which will include the 50, 100 and 400 freestyle, the 100 back and butterfly, as well as two relay events.
The Aussies head to the US for a staging camp on August 20, before the Paralympics begin on September 7.
