FUTURE FOOTBALLERS FILL ALSTONVILLE JUNIOR CARNIVAL
The future of football on the Northern Rivers is looking bright if the turn out at a junior carnival over the weekend is anything to go by.
More than a thousand players aged between six and 11 descended on Geoff Watt Oval for Alstonville FC’s junior carnival.
It’s become the biggest carnival of its kind in the region.
“The quality of football in the Northern Rivers is very good and certainly among the 1,100 juniors that we’ve got here today, there’ll be some budding stars for sure.”
More than 130 teams from the Gold Coast to Maclean took part.
