19 people have put their hand up for positions on the Tamworth Regional Council, including reigning New England regional volunteer of the year, Charles Impey.
He was the driving force behind the Marsupial Park’s Adventure Playground, which came in $100,000 under budget.
Glenn Inglis, who has previously served as General Manager in Tamworth, Armidale and Uralla, is also up for election.
Residents will go to the polls on September 10.
