HARNESS RACE KEEPS IT IN THE FAMILY

Today’s 1980-metre Jackpot harness race in Tamworth was a family affair, out of nine driver-trainer pairs, six were related.

The Weidemann’s of Queensland took the win though, with Stacey driving her aunt’s filly ‘Mac Sweet’ across the line.

She finished half a length ahead of the Missen brothers’ ‘Five Star Wally’, with Sam Ison’s ‘Gannicus’  finishing third.
