WARNERS BAY AND WALLSEND PREPARE FOR WPL GRAND FINAL

They’ve only been in the Women’s Premier League for two seasons, but this Sunday, either Wallsend or Warners Bay will take home the grand final silverware.
“At the start of the year it was a bit slow for us, we came up against the three toughest team and had a bye first round so it was a slow start but we got there in the end.”
Wallsend beat minor premiers Adamstown to qualify for the decider, but goes in as the underdog.
“We haven’t won against them this season, we hadn’t beaten any of the top 3 until the finals so hopefully we can change that this weekend.”
The two team leaders have very different ideas about how the game will play out.
“Obviously Warners Bay to win. Let’s say 2-nil.”
“Don’t really want to put Warners Bay out but I reckon it’ll be 4-1.”
