CANCER COUNCIL GEARS UP FOR FLAGSHIP FUNDRAISER
An explosion of yellow is expected on the Central Coast tomorrow, with the Cancer Council to send out their army of volunteers to help raise funds for Daffodil Day.
It’s an event with special significance for MC Alan Phillips, who just two years ago, was battling with tonsil cancer.
“It was very odd that I lost the tool of my trade basically it made me appreciate it more when I got it back,” Mr Phillips said.
After making a full recovery Alan says he is one of the lucky ones and hopes the region will dig deep tomorrow.
“the more money we get to them the quicker we will get results and put cancer behind us so days life daffodil day everyone needs to throw in a few dollars,” He said.
More than 40 sites are registered across the Central Coast for the event’s 30th anniversary.
