On the satellite, a mass of moisture continues to stream in across central Australia. This is the start of an incredible early spring weather system that will produce large amounts of rain for inland Australia.
Cloud will increase dramatically and rain will begin to move in across the north west and Hunter from tonight.
The low will form and it will sweep in across the region over the next 48 hours.
It will take until Saturday to clear from the region.
Father’s Day will be fine with cooler south westerly winds moving in behind the passing low.
