HUNTER SPORTS HIGH INTO BILL TURNER TROPHY FINAL

Hunter Sports High is through to the national final of the Bill Turner Trophy, after overcoming Brisbane side Cavandish Road.
The scores were locked at one-all at halftime, but keepers Annie Grove and Lily Steel proved tougher to beat after the break.
Hunter’s Zoe Burnley had a great chance to win the game shortly before full time.
It took until the second half of golden goal to find a winner, as Kayla Steadman teed up Jessica Davis.
The young Hunter squad will now face Pymble Ladies College in tomorrow’s final.
“It was a goal to get in the gold medal match and to come home with the trophy so they’ve put themselves in a good position.”
