League officials have decided Murwillumbah will advance to meet Cudgen in this Sunday’s NRRRL grand final.
The Mustangs led over Casino when last Sunday’s preliminary final was abandoned, after injured player Grant Cook went into cardiac arrest.
Plans to replay that match have since been shelved by the league out of respect, after the 28 year old passed away in hospital.
League President Brian Rix says while it was difficult to make, he believes all clubs and supporters will respect the decision.
