Merewether’s Matt Hall has overcome illness to qualify second for the penultimate round of the Air Race Series.

Hall missed Friday’s second training session in the US, as he battled a virus.

The Australian has won the last two events, but needs another solid result to have any chance of catching series leader, Matthias Dolderer.
