A huge boost for rugby in the Hunter, with the Country Eagles set to play next Saturday’s National Rugby Championship semi final at Number 2 Sportsground.
The Eagles opted against playing one of their regular season fixtures in the Hunter in 2016.
However, since clinching the minor premiership, the Eagles have announced Number 2 will be the location for their major semi-final against either Melbourne Rising or the Canberra Vikings.
